In Picker Drive, location is accessed while the app is in use and also in the background, including when the app is minimised, while the driver is online and available for rides; this supports matching drivers with nearby ride requests, sharing live location with riders and our dispatch system, calculating routes and distance, and enabling navigation, with a persistent notification shown during background use.
